Alfresco login NTLMv2 and Passthru issues
I recently got a new laptop with Windows 7 Professional on it and wanted to connect to a remote Alfresco site that used Passthru authentication.Even though I was sure I was using correct login details, I could not connect!
Looking at logs on server it displayed messages like “using NTLMv2 logon, not valid with passthru authentication”.
Here is how to solve this:
- Launch Windows 7 Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc)
- Go to Computer Configuration -> Security Settings -> Local Policies -> Security Options
- Look out for “Network Security: LAN Manager Authentication Level”
- Try changing it to “Send LM & NTLM and V2 if Negotiated”
